Moments in Time – Piano

A house has always felt more like a home to me when there’s a piano in it.

I grew up with a piano in the living room.  The years when my kids were at home, a piano graced the main area of our home, always welcoming fingers of any size to test its keys.  Who doesn’t love to push a piano key and hear it sing back?

My sister and I both played the piano, for fun and for lessons.  Mom even found a small piano for us to play in our early years.  Here’s a picture of us plunking keys.

It’s amazing that, years later and completely unplanned, my own children would be captured in the same pose.

It’s fun to see them side by side.

A moment then.  A moment later.

What was even more fun was discovering a picture taken years later of those same boys, and seeing those two images side by side.

A moment then.  A moment even later.  Each moment cherished at the time, and now cherished together.
