On Veterans Day 2015

veterans day (3)

The military is nothing new to our family. I made this collage for a previous Veterans Day.

This year, after working more on family history, I am able to add more pictures to the collage.

I left a space for an image of someone in the future who will also also serve our country in its military.

I proudly watched my husband serve for more than 20 years.  Here he is in Kuwait.

This Veterans Day takes on a new meaning than in past years, as my son is spending his days overseas.  He will be there well past the holidays, giving up his personal time and freedom for you, for me, even for those in other countries.  He is protecting the freedoms we usually take for granted.

I’m grateful to him and to others like him who are willing to sacrifice for the rest of us.

thanks vet
