Janie’s Latest Jewel

I saw Janie after Christmas.  She knows how much we enjoy seeing her handiwork, so she brought her most recent project to show our group what she’d been up to for the last six weeks.

She made stockings – one for her and her husband, and one to send as a gift.  At first glance, it looked like a nice picture on a store bought item…..but then I put my glasses on and WHAM!  I clearly saw the intricate detail of every stitch it took to comprise the beautiful picture.

Janie says the stocking started out as a simple piece of off white cloth and finished with every square stitched and most of them overlaid with outline stitching to bring out the details.

Once again, I am amazed by her work.

Beautiful.
